STATEMENT OF PURPOSES
1. The name of the incorporated association is KOOYONG LAWN TENNIS CLUB INC.
(herein called "the Club")
2. The purposes for which the Association is established are to:
(a) Promote and advance the game of lawn tennis in Victoria.
(b) Lay out, construct, furnish and maintain tennis courts, squash courts and any
other amenity and facility and any buildings or other works necessary or convenient
for the purposes of the Club.
(c) Promote and facilitate social and competition tennis and other recreations amongst
the members and those members of like bodies.
(d) Arrange and manage tournament and championship tennis.
(e) Acquire (by purchase, lease or otherwise) any real or personal property and
any rights or privileges which the Club may think necessary or convenient.
(f) Borrow or raise such moneys in such manner and either with or without security
over all or any of its property and for that purpose to execute or issue such mortgages,
charges, debentures or other instruments as the Committee determines.
(g) Arrange for representation of the Club on Tennis Victoria or any body of a similar
nature formed for the purpose of promoting or controlling the game of tennis.
(h) Delegate the management of any tournament or championship to any person or corporation.
(i) Invest any moneys and funds of the Club and to generally manage and control
the assets and property of the Club and to acquire and dispose of the same.
(j) Promote friendship and social activities amongst the members.
(k) Apply for hold and renew any licence permit or authority under the provisions
of the Liquor Control Act 1987 or any amending or future corresponding enactment.
(l) Utilise the facilities of the Club for the benefit of Members, their guests
and visitors.
(m) Do all such other things as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of
the purposes and the exercise of the powers of the Club.
