INTRODUCTORY
1. NAME
The name of the incorporated association is KOOYONG LAWN TENNIS CLUB INC. (in these
Rules called “the Club”).

2. DEFINITIONS
In these Rules, unless the contrary intention appears:
“ Act” means the Associations Incorporation Act 1981.
"Association" means the former unincorporated association being Kooyong
Lawn Tennis Club.
“CEO” means the Chief Executive Officer of the Club.
“Chief Executive Officer” means the person appointed by the Committee
as Chief Executive Officer of the Club.
“Clubhouse” means the premises at 489 Glenferrie Road, Kooyong, Victoria.
“Committee” means the committee of management of the Club.
“financial year” means the year ending on 31 July or such other date
as Committee may from time to time determine.
“general meeting” means a general meeting of Members convened in accordance
with these Rules.
“Levy” means a levy imposed by the Committee in accord with the provisions
of these Rules.
“Liquor” has the same meaning as in the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998
and any related word or expression shall have the same meaning as the corresponding
word or expression contained in the said Act.
“Member” means a member of the Club.
“officer of the Committee” means any one of the President, Vice Presidents
and Treasurer of the Club.
"ordinary member of the Committee" means a member of the Committee who
is not an officer of the Committee under Rule 20.
“Regulations” means regulations made by the Committee pursuant to these
Rules.
"relevant documents" has the same meaning as in the Act.
"special resolution’ has the same meaning as in the Act.
"Statutory Regulations" means regulations under the Act.
“Unfinancial Member” means a Member who has not paid all subscriptions
and / or monies then due and payable..
“Voting Member” means a Member other than a Junior Member under 18 years
of age, an Absentee Member, a Special Member and a Temporary Member.

3. ALTERATION OF THE RULES AND THE STATEMENT OF PURPOSES
These Rules and the Statement of Purposes of the Club must not be altered except
in accordance with the Act.
