Kooyong Foundation

There are two main objectives in establishing the Kooyong Foundation.
- Advancing Kooyong
- Advancing tennis in Australia and internationally

In large part, the objectives are compatible, Kooyong is the traditional home of tennis in Australia and in so many ways, the history of Kooyong is itself a history of Australian Tennis.

Essential to the success of the Foundation is its capacity to present to individuals and corporations a framework, which potential benefactors accept as a realistic means of achieving the objectives.

With these thoughts uppermost, the first of the worthy projects for The Kooyong Foundation is the establishment of the Australian Tennis Museum At Kooyong.

The Foundation also actively supports junior sporting development by providing sporting scholarships for junior players as well as developing projects of importance for Kooyong itself.

We are most fortunate in that two of the all-time greats of world tennis, Frank Sedgman and Evonne Goolagong-Cawley, share our enthusiasm and have accepted Foundation Directorships. Both look forward to carrying the Foundation objectives to vast personnel and international tennis networks.

In summary, The Kooyong Foundation now provides a means by which members and supporters can direct to Kooyong contributions, bequests or whatever that we know are often directed else-where simply because Kooyong had no Foundation.

Foundation Directors are readily available for discussion on a discreet and confidential basis and further information can be obtained by contacting the CEO.

All of us look forward to developing, with your support, a Kooyong contribution to tennis befitting our history.
