Global DJing phenomenon Generik headlines the Opening Night cocktail party on the lawn at the Priceline Pharmacy Classic - Kooyong on January 13.

Fresh from his stand-out performances at Stereosonic, and his ‘The Weekend’ Australian Tour this December, Generik said he was looking forward to playing alongside some of the best tennis players in the world at Kooyong. "It's an honour to be asked to play at an iconic venue like Kooyong,” he said. ”The Melbourne Summer wouldn’t be the same without the tennis and the Kooyong Classic. “Kei Nishikori and I would make a great doubles team… Here’s my chance! Kooyong see you soon… I can’t wait!”
Generik headlines a week of fabulous off-court events that complement the on-court action at Kooyong this year. Guests at the opening night cocktail party on the lawn, held in collaboration with the Kooyong Young Members Committee, can enjoy a day of tennis followed by Lanson Champagne, cocktails and delectable canapés on Kooyong’s idyllic lawn.
The Opening Night/Young Member’s Party will run from 6-9pm on January 13, tickets are $65 ($55 for Kooyong Members) and include a full day of entry to the tennis along with a two hour food and beverage package from 6pm-9pm with a cash bar available thereafter. Guests who purchase a ticket before December 31 will go into the draw to win a double pass to the IMG Australian Open Player’s Party.
Wednesday, January 14 sees Kooyong step back in time with the ‘Woods and Whites’ Garden Party celebrating the days of classic crisp tennis whites and wooden racquets. An evening of food and wine, Woods and Whites includes a tastings session with Alex Trescowthick, Winemaker at Nepenthe.
The ‘Woods and Whites’ Garden Party runs from 5.30 to 7.30pm on the lawn. Tickets are $65 ($55 for Kooyong members) and include beverages, canapés and wine tasting. There will be some great deals to be had on Nepenthe wines throughout the evening.
